A Home For MAX

I have been anxious to share pics of the quiet book I made this summer. It is a SEQUEL to the popular Where's Max? quiet book and is really fun. It features Max looking on each page for the perfect home. Little animals pull out from behind their homes via elastic, so it is delightfully interactive. I love all the textures I incorporated into this book...especially loved sewing over yarn to make the tree lines on the owl "too tight" page. I also love Max tucked into the suitcase on the front cover. This book features a NEW METHOD that is Super Easy for adding captions to quiet book pages.

Two New Quiet Books and .PDF PATTERNS 
to share with you!

It's finally done....YAY! I never thought I would/could do it...
the pattern for 
Keira's Fairy Book! 
This quiet book was featured here last April 2013.
And lots of you have asked for it.

So,  I borrowed the book back from Keira,
miraculously found the "mystery" file of sketches I
thought I threw away, 
and here you have it!

The other new quiet book and .pdf pattern is 
"Little Christmas."
I had so much fun designing and making this book,
and I was so happy with the way it turned out!
The colors make me happy, the little animals which hide
throughout the book are too cute, and the page designs
are simply whimsical.

Today's Feature: The Nativity Story

FINGER PUPPET SET with Scenery/Playmat roll-up case for storage

I had so much fun designing a finger puppet set for the littles that I ended up making 4 of them!
I envisioned a little case to hold the puppets, but wanted more play value....so I added the scenery to the background. I think they turned out really cute.

Here is the Holy Family in the stable. I had fun using cord for the arms
 again in this project.

Here is a portion of the scenery...the hills of Bethlehem. We were in Israel
last year and it really IS hilly in and around Jerusalem/Bethlehem.

Here is a close-up...love how the background fabric worked for this set!

Cute shepherd holding a lamb...the legs don't show up very well.
Again, these knotted cord arms are really fun!

Cute Wiseman with his gift. Using glittered craft foam is a great idea!

This pic shows the pockets in the fabric roll-up case.
It ties with the ribbon on the right.
